Strong preparation prior to a learning event or experience can greatly
enhance the performance of the learner. Educators see evidence of this
everyday in their classrooms.
This also holds true for participants at a teaching institute, where
the time spent in preparation leads to increased readiness and
performance, providing a solid foundation to build on at the beginning
of the institute.
Preparation for a teaching institute consists of two readings and
three exercises. Note that the expectation is that all participants
have completed the readings and exercises prior to the start of the
institute.
You will also be expected to complete readings and other assignments
at home during the course of the teaching institute.
Readings
|
The first reading
provides information about the teaching institute itself (the
objectives, theme areas, agenda, and general overview).
|
|
The second reading
provides information about the philosophy of Process Education
which is a topic addressed early in the institute. |
