Smart Grid: The Results

On January 22, Pacific Crest offered a 5-day Learning to Learn Camp at the Oneonta Job Corps, in Oneonta, New York. Dan Apple facilitated the camp in which 35 students participated. The curricula included 15 activities from Foundations of Smart Grid (a new curriculum product which integrates Process Education and Smart Grid content) and 15 activities from Foundations of Learning. It is our belief that the major takeaways of this special Learning to Learn Camp included self-growth, self-assessment, improved reading performance, improved math skills, and excitement about entering into the Smart Grid field.

The Results:

The first Smart Grid AT class of 2013 – and the FIRST class to achieve industry recognized standards as determined by the Center for Energy and Workforce Development (CEWD) with successful completion of the CAST, SkillsUSA, and WorkKeys assessments, as well as participation in the Learning to Learn Camp – finished on April 26. Congratulations to all of them!
