PUBLISHING NEWS: Foundations of Organic Chemistry

We're pleased to announce the pending publication of Foundations of Organic Chemistry! While final work is still ongoing, PILOT testing is completed and student and instructor responses have been heard and the improvments they asked for have been implemented!

Available in early August; contact us to adopt this book!

The 66 activities included in this active learning POGIL-mode workbook present real world problems, simultaneously demonstrating the relevance of organic chemistry to the fields of biological and physical sciences, as well as giving students authentic opportunities to extend and strengthen their command of the concepts and principles of organic chemistry, even as they become masterful problem solvers.

With a useful spiral binding so the book lies flat, both students and instructors will appreciate how user-friendly this text is.

Once the book itself goes to print in early June, attention will turn to the Who Gives a Darn? website, (www.whogivesadarn.com) which will offer a wealth of learning resources for instructors and students alike, as well as secure answer keys for adopting instructors.

The site is currently live to support individuals who have worked tirelessly as pilot testers, helping to immeasurably improve the book.

While we do not yet have final pricing, we are sure that it will be as pleasantly surprising in price as it is in content.
