A methodology is a model of an experts’ perspective of the essence of a process. The most effective
transfer of a professionals’ expertise is through methodologies. A self-grower builds expertise by learning
to analyze process knowledge through applying and assessing performance with the methodology.

1. Analyze each step for purpose, function & contribution to the quality of the whole
2. Parse the methodology into three stages: steps required to prepare for the process; steps to carry out
the process; steps for quality control and assuring process effectiveness
