Performance Levels for Self-Assessors
Level 5—Self-growers
1. Consistently update growth goals into their life plans and commit to daily engagement in self-growth.
2. Have studied extensively the different contexts for the performance to produce the most meaningful criteria.
3. Have extensive research skills and see clearly all that happens with unbiased and unfiltered clarity.
4. Quickly produce new understanding of self leading to effective and quickly implemented aligned action
plans.
5. Have strong belief in who they can become and consistently ensures actions align with beliefs and values.
Level 4—Reflective Practitioners
1. Are conscious of what they want out of life professionally and try to increase professional performance
annually.
2. See the challenges in the current performance and identify criteria that will be important to that performance.
3. Collect many details in their performance and try to limit filtering and bias when observing self in pressure
situations.
4. Develop many new self-discoveries and can produce short and long term action plans leading to meaningful
growth.
5. Have desire and commitment to their future and check annually to see to what degree are life expectations
being met.
Level 3—Responsive Individuals
1. Have set a few life goals and annual targets and try to better themselves in key areas of importance.
2. Are confident in standard situations and use previous expectations to monitor their performance.
3. See many things in their performance with some key limitations in sensitive areas and some bias.
4. Make new discoveries of self leading to areas with fundamental plans for carrying out these improvements.
5. Are confident in their current self and step back at critical moments in life to make sure they are on track.
Level 2—Directed Individuals
1. Want to do well in the game of life and consistently respond to affirmation or judgment in what to do next.
2. Seek training for dealing with each new situation and want specific guidance in how to perform for that
situation.
3. See the details in their performance through other eyes and react to how others see their performance.
4. Can produce some fundamental insights into self with help and produce plans for improvements with
guidance.
5. Confidence is determined in how much others believe in them and step back when they fail.
Level 1—Undirected Individuals
1. Live life basically day to day and seldom see opportunity for self-improvement except when commanded.
2. Are often overwhelmed by new situations and want others to explain what they must do in detail.
3. See only the most obvious details with many filters and subjective biases for self-protection.
4. Produce limited understanding of themselves and can only focus on short-term reactive plans.
5. Are unsure who they want to be and consistently find themselves uncomfortable with inconsistent decisions.
