“If you don’t have a plan for yourself, you’ll be part of someone else’s.”
—American proverb
R
EFLECTION
In this experience, you will have the opportunity to reflect on the way you use and manage time and to
begin to commit yourself to increased productivity through planning and scheduling as well as logging
planned and actual efforts.
P
URPOSE
The goal of this experience is to help you learn to increase the effectiveness of planning, the use of time,
and the productivity of the time used. The golden rule of productivity is to spend 10% of the time planning
and prioritizing, 85% of the time following the plan (effectively using your time), and finally 5% of the
time to assess the performance so that the next performance can be improved. Learning to use time in this
way will provide both short-term and long-term productive growth and increased achievements.
