During this semester you have experienced effective mentoring by your instructor, classmates, and other
people on campus, and you can reflect on these experiences when you write your Self-Growth Paper.
Now, though, it is time to take on the challenge to transform yourself through the help of mentors. Choose
areas of growth in which you don’t have confidence that you might succeed, critical areas that you have
avoided, or areas that have significantly constrained you from becoming a star. After inventorying all these
areas, choose the two that are most challenging for you. The goal is for you to establish two mentoring
relationships that meet the performance criteria of this activity and write a one page document of each
established relationship.
Use the
Mentoring Planning worksheets
. For at least one of those two planned mentoring relationships,
complete a signed agreement. That
Mentoring Planning worksheet
and
Mentoring Agreement
should
be included as part of your Self-Growth Paper.
