cheduled for July 12
and 13, 2007 in Washington, D.C., the International Conference
for Process Education promises to be an exciting and inspiring
event. Process Educators, including Academy of Process Educator
members, will be gathering as a community to build
relationships, establish professional networks and share their
experience and expertise with one another.
The conference will consist of several
different sessions and workshops, allowing participants to
actively plan and work towards common educational goals over
these two days.
On Wednesday, July 11, Dr. David Hanson will
be hosting a POGIL (Process-Oriented Guided-Inquiry Learning)
Workshop at the conference site. This one-day workshop is an
excellent introduction to Process Education and will model the
POGIL method.
We have some incredible speakers and talented
facilitators lined up for the conference and will be announcing
details and a conference agenda on the conference website.
Breakout sessions are planned for four different tracks:
Fostering the Transition to College, Facilitating Student
Success, Designing Student-Centered Curriculum, and Aligning
Organizations for Student Success.
The 4th Edition of the
Faculty Guidebook will be debuting during the
conference, including an informative demonstration of the eFGB4.
Whether you’re a seasoned Process Educator or
only beginning to sample the potential of Process Education,
we’d love to see you there.
