Goals for this Course

Our goal for each of you is to help you use the Performance Model as presented in this chapter to become
better learners. Throughout the course, we will be presenting you with opportunities to improve your level
of learning in each of the four areas identified in Table 1.2. You will come to a better understanding of your
identity as a result of creating and adding to your Life Vision Portfolio. As a result of this, you will become
aware of the context of your learning as well as the influence your personal factors have on that learning.
Each learning activity will serve to help you develop your learning skills. And through the readings, you
will deepen your knowledge base.
Based on what you have read so far, revisit and revise the goals you stated for this class in Activity 1.1. Be
sure that the goals you list are measurable. That is, you should be able to tell by the end of the term which
goals you have met.

In any course, the syllabus is an important road map for you to follow. So, as a final activity, complete
Activity 1.2.
