ACTIVITY 2.2

                                Exploring Your Campus

                                     Learning skills: collaborating, being curious, exploring context

   WHY

This activity involves a fun competition to find and gather information from various places around campus.
Your team must put into practice information gathering and teamwork skills as you work to complete an
information search list. You not only learn about your college and the campus but also about information
resources you can continue to use throughout your time at college.

   LEARNING OBJECTIVES

1. Learn more about your college.
2. Improve your familiarity with campus resources and tools for information gathering.
3. Work effectively as a team and have fun.

   PERFORMANCE CRITERIA

Criterion #1: your team’s performance at finding answers to questions on one of the search lists
    Attributes:
    a. more than seven campus resources are documented and used
    b. each team member contributes to the overall effort
    c. goodwill and sportsmanship is displayed by your team

Criterion #2: your team’s written documentation
    Attributes:
    a. includes a plan with a team strategy
    b. includes an explanation of how search list questions were answered

   PLAN

Your team is to work from one of the five Information Search Lists assigned to you by your instructor. The
objective is to answer as many questions on your list as you can during the allotted time as determined by
your instructor.

Note: Your instructor may wish to add or delete questions from the Information Search Lists.

1. Develop and write down an action plan with a strategy for how your team will most efficiently complete
    the Search List.

2. Collect and record your answers to the search questions on a separate piece of paper or use a word
