PLAN
1. Use the draft Educational Plan you developed for Activity 6.3. If you are working in a team, select one
Educational Plan for the team assessment.
2. Create a common assessment form that will be used by all teams when assessing. The form should
incorporate appropriate criteria, attributes, and scales for the chosen work product.
3. Exchange your team’s Educational Plan with another team (called Team A).
4. Begin the process of assessing Team A’s Educational Plan using the agreed-upon assessment criteria
and the common assessment form (created during Step 2, above). Be as accurate and objective as you
can as you identify strengths and areas for improvement. Recall that an objective of this activity is to
practice the Assessment Methodology, not simply one step within the methodology. Include comments
that explain your assessment.
5. Return the other team’s Educational Plan, along with your team’s completed assessment form to Team
A. You will receive back your own Educational Plan and an assessment of it from Team A.
6. Assess the assessment you received from Team A about your Educational Plan. Use the SII format to
identify two strengths, two areas for improvements, and two insights of the assessment made by Team
A. Be sure to focus on the assessment and not the Educational Plan. Resist the temptation to respond to
the assessment!
7. Return your assessment of Team A’s assessment to Team A. You in turn will receive feedback about
your team’s assessment performance. Read these comments and feedback.
8. Answer the Critical Thinking Questions.
CRITICAL THINKING QUESTIONS
1. Which criterion did you feel was the most important in terms of the assessment and why?
